The Season Ticket Plans are Out!

Just minutes ago, the club released pricing details for tickets to next year's Inaugural Season:

The Supporters' Section is in the left field bleachers (orange), Sections 235-238.

NYCFC consulted with us on the location, and we agreed that this was the best place for us. The bleachers are conducive not only to standing but to the rousing atmosphere we hope to create at Yankee Stadium.

We have also asked that members of the Third Rail be placed in Sections 237 and 238, directly behind the visitors' bullpen. This will mean nobody either behind or in front of us, so we may stand to our hearts' content.

You can see our location on this mockup, from the Yankee Stadium announcement:

As for the pricing, it's very competitive. $18 per match in our section, $306 for the entire MLS season.

From the club's website:

Member Code of Conduct

As we work to build the soccer culture here in New York City, our behavior will come under increasing scrutiny. To ensure that our members uphold the highest standards of behavior, the Board of Directors has approved this Code of Conduct for all Third Rail members, effective immediately.
The Third Rail welcomes all fans of good will, regardless of race, age, gender, creed or sexual orientation. As such, disrespect towards any persons, be they our fellow NYCFC fans, fans of other clubs or members of the general public, is completely unacceptable. We will not tolerate racism, discrimination, sexism, and/or bigotry of any kind in either words or actions.

We understand that as an officially sanctioned Supporters Group, our actions will reflect not only on us individually and the Third Rail as a whole, but the club we support and city we represent. We will always strive to be good ambassadors for our club and community.

Prohibited behavior includes (but is not limited to):
  • Throwing any objects onto the field of play during a match;
  • Leading, participating, and/or encouraging in inappropriate chants;
  • Any physical harm or threats of physical harm to others; and
  • Slurs, derogatory language, and other disrespectful and/or hateful speech, whether in person or online

We are responsible for policing our own behavior and those of everyone associated with the Third Rail. If you see individuals acting in way that violates our code of conduct, please don’t participate in or encourage it. Let a Third Rail officer know, and we will investigate as appropriate. Everyone will be held accountable for his or her individual actions.

Any member of the Third Rail who is found to have violated this code of conduct will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including total and immediate loss of membership without refund, and the Third Rail reserves the right to take any such action as deemed appropriate at the discretion of the Board of Directors.

We hope that no such action need never be taken, and we trust that all members will comport themselves with respect for themselves and others as we cheer our team on to victory.

The Third Rail accepts all people regardless of race, age, gender, creed or sexual orientation. We believe in supporting our club, giving back to our community and growing the game in our city, from youth leagues to the highest level. We in the Third Rail will always extend a welcome hand to those who abide by these principles.
Once again, we hope you'll join us.

Welcome to the Third Rail!

Hello everyone and welcome to the home of the Third Rail. We are the first Supporters Club for New York City FC, welcoming MLS and the Beautiful Game to the greatest city in the world.

Our new name was chosen by NYCFC fans. We have been amazed at the outpouring of support we've seen so far, and I look forward to meeting more of you in person as we approach the club's kickoff in 2015.

From time to time, you'll see posts here from officers and members of the organization. Since I'm first up, I'll introduce myself - my name is Chance Michaels, and I am the President of the Third Rail. I'm a native New Yorker and a lifelong soccer fan. I have been largely agnostic on Major League Soccer since its founding; the MetroStars (now Red Bulls) seemed from the beginning to have made a conscious decision to be a suburban club. Fair enough, that's a legitimate choice, but it also meant that as a city kid I didn't have a team. With no local side to support, I became an Arsenal supporter and eventually a season ticket holder at Ashburton Grove. That all changed one year ago, on May 21, 2013, when New York City FC was announced as the 20th team in MLS.

Finally, New York had its own top-flight professional soccer club. I started blogging about NYCFC that same day, chronicling its nascent development, and soon met a small group of like-minded fans. Together, we started the group that would become the Third Rail. Over the coming weeks, I'll be introducing you to those people, and laying out our goals for the next weeks, months and years. There's much to be done in the nine months before NYCFC starts play.

It's an exciting time to be a soccer fan in New York. I hope you'll join us for the ride.

Thank you,
